Growing up, I was no stranger to hard work or to building something from the ground up. Some of my earliest memories are of working on projects alongside my dad and grandpa. My mother had a background in theater, arts, scenic design, and construction, so creativity, craftsmanship, and working with my hands were always a part of my life.
After years spent working in different corners of the construction industry across Tulsa and Oklahoma City, I knew this was more than a career. It was something I genuinely enjoyed and wanted to build a future around. While Shawna and I were living in Oklahoma City, we started our family and she finished her college degree. Eventually we knew it was time to move back to Tulsa and put down roots. Shawna comes from a long line of entrepreneurs, and between her background and my experience in construction, starting our own company felt like a natural next step.
Our vision was always about more than owning a business. We wanted to build something our family could be proud of, something that would let us raise our children while teaching them the value of hard work, integrity, serving others, and what it really takes to build something from nothing.
Looking back, roofing was probably always in my future. My mom, who now works alongside us in the business, loves telling stories about me as a kid climbing onto the roof of our church or scaling an elderly neighbor’s barn just for fun. I never had much fear of heights, so spending my days on rooftops seems pretty fitting.

When we started Green Phoenix Roofing & Remodeling, we knew exactly what kind of company we wanted to build. The construction industry does not always have the best reputation. We have all heard the stories about contractors who do not show up, do not communicate, cut corners, or leave homeowners frustrated. We set out to change that experience, one customer and one project at a time.
To us, good business is not complicated. It is showing up when you say you will, doing what you say you are going to do, communicating clearly, standing behind your work, and never sacrificing quality or integrity just to finish a job. Our customers deserve to feel confident about the people they trust with their homes, and we approach every project with the same care and attention we would give our own.
Maybe most important, we do not believe every appointment needs to end with a sale. When someone calls us for an estimate, our first priority is not selling them a roof or talking them into a remodeling project. It is listening, evaluating their needs, and giving our honest opinion about what makes the most sense for them. Sometimes that means moving forward. Other times it means telling a homeowner they do not need to spend that money right now, and we are perfectly fine with that. We would rather earn someone’s trust today and be the company they remember years down the road than sell them something they never needed.

You contact our office, we gather the details, and we figure out whether it is a straightforward retail project or a storm damage project, then look into your property and recent hail history.
On-Site Inspection
Craig meets you at your home, inspects everything in detail, documents his findings with photos, and walks you through exactly what he sees and recommends.
Estimate or Storm Documentation
For retail work you get a clear written estimate. For storm projects we sign a service agreement, order EagleView measurements when needed, and provide inspection photos and an itemized estimate you can share with your insurance company. We explain everything we found in plain language, so the decision about contacting your insurer stays yours.
Approval & Scheduling
Once you approve the scope, we confirm your materials and color selections, order everything, collect a deposit, and lock in a schedule that works for you.
Production
Our crew completes the work to the approved scope, documents progress and any changes, and finishes with a full cleanup and quality-control check.
Final Walkthrough
Craig walks the finished project with you, takes care of any last details, and wraps up with a signed certificate of completion.
Closeout & Warranty
We send your warranty and final project documentation, including completion photos and a final invoice you can share with your insurance company, and make sure every detail is complete and on record.
